At ABC Blooms & Preservation, we want you to feel confident and informed throughout your flower preservation experience. Because every flower is unique and preservation is a delicate, handcrafted process, it's important to understand what to expect before booking. From preparing and delivering your flowers to the natural changes that may occur during drying and preservation, we've outlined everything you need to know below. We encourage you to take a moment to review this information so you can feel comfortable with the process and excited about your one-of-a-kind keepsake.
We recommend booking your preservation as early as possible, especially for weddings and other events with a scheduled date. Availability may be limited, and advance reservations help ensure we can accommodate your flowers.
We do accept last minute bookings if our availability allows.
A Non-Refundable deposit is required to reserve your preservation, with the remaining balance typically due prior to beginning preservation. Payment details will be provided when your order is confirmed. If you would like to request other payment options, please let us know up front.
Custom designs and special requests are welcome! Additional charges may apply depending on the size, materials, and complexity of your piece.
The condition of your flowers when we receive them play a significant role in how well they preserve. For the best results, flowers should be delivered or shipped as soon as possible following your event. Fresh, properly cared-for flowers generally produce better results than those that have begun to wilt or deteriorate.
We provide instructions for preparing and shipping your flowers to help them arrive in the best possible condition.
Please keep in mind:
If we have concerns about the condition of your flowers upon arrival, we will contact you to discuss the best options before proceeding.
One of the most important things to understand about flower preservation is that your flowers will not look exactly the same as they did when fresh. During the drying and preservation process, flowers naturally change in color, shape, and texture. Some common changes include:
While we take great care in preserving each bloom, these changes are a normal part of working with natural flowers. Every arrangement is unique, and the final appearance will depend on the flower varieties, their condition, and the preservation method selected.
Resin preservation is a beautiful way to showcase your flowers while maintaining much of their original shape and dimension. Each bloom is carefully dried before being arranged and encased in resin. Because every piece is created by hand, small variations and imperfections are a natural part of the process. You may notice:
We work carefully to minimize these characteristics, but a completely flawless result cannot be guaranteed. This is also the result and final product of a true handmade piece. We create our pieces in our home studio by hand, one piece at a time, not mass production.
Resin also naturally develops a warmer or amber tone over time. Keeping your piece away from direct sunlight and excessive heat can help slow this process. These keepsakes are intended primarily for decorative display unless specifically described otherwise.
Pressed flower preservation transforms your blooms into delicate botanical artwork displayed in a frame. Unlike resin preservation, pressing removes the natural dimension of flowers, creating a flattened arrangement. Some flowers may need to be separated into individual petals and carefully reconstructed to achieve the finished design. Once your flowers have been dried and arranged, we will send you a digital design proof to review before permanently securing them in your frame. We encourage you to carefully review the arrangement at this stage, as changes may not be possible once the flowers have been attached.
Pressed flowers are naturally delicate and may continue to experience subtle changes in color over time.
Every keepsake we create is completely unique. We carefully consider the flowers you provide, their condition, the size of your selected piece, and the overall design when creating your arrangement. Not every flower from your original bouquet may fit or be suitable for inclusion.
We do our best to incorporate the most meaningful blooms while creating a balanced, beautiful design. If you have particular flowers, colors, or design preferences you'd like us to prioritize, please share those details before the preservation process begins.
While we welcome your ideas, some design adjustments may be necessary based on the condition and availability of your preserved flowers.
Depending on the size of your selected keepsake, some flowers may remain unused.
Not all blooms will necessarily be suitable for preservation, and some may be excluded because of their condition, size, or appearance. Any unused flowers become the property of ABC Blooms & Preservation. If you would like unused flowers returned, please discuss this with us before the preservation process begins so we can determine whether return arrangements are possible.
Creating a floral keepsake takes time, patience, and careful attention to detail.
Flowers must first be thoroughly dried before the designing and finishing stages can begin. Resin pieces may require multiple pours and curing periods, while pressed arrangements require careful drying, designing, and framing. Completion times vary depending on the preservation method, size, complexity, and current order volume.
Turnaround time is about 8-16 weeks, but we will provide an estimated timeframe at booking. Please understand that these are estimates rather than guaranteed completion dates, as some pieces may require additional time to achieve the best possible result.
Because each preservation is custom-made and requires dedicated time, materials, and preparation, cancellations and refunds depend on the stage of your order.
Deposits identified as nonrefundable at booking are generally not returned if a customer cancels, subject to applicable law.
Once flowers have entered the preservation process, certain costs and services cannot be recovered.
If your plans change, please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss your options.
To give your flowers the best chance of successful preservation, we recommend shipping them as soon as possible, ideally within three days of your event. The sooner we receive your flowers, the better their condition is likely to be.
Customers are responsible for properly packaging their flowers and covering all shipping costs to ABC Blooms & Preservation. While we provide guidance on preparing your flowers for shipment, we cannot control shipping delays, lost packages, or damage that may occur during transit.
Flowers will be evaluated and preserved based on their condition upon arrival. If your flowers arrive with significant damage, mold, insects, or deterioration that makes them unsuitable for preservation, we will contact you to discuss the situation. Flowers that cannot be safely preserved due to mold or contamination may need to be discarded rather than returned.
If your flowers arrive in a condition that prevents us from completing your preservation, your order will be canceled and any payments made toward the preservation service will be refunded less the nonrefundable deposit. Please understand that ABC Blooms & Preservation cannot be responsible for the sentimental or monetary value of flowers lost or damaged during shipping before they reach us.
Once your keepsake is complete, we will contact you to arrange pickup or return shipping. Please notify us of any changes to your shipping address before your completed piece is shipped to help ensure it arrives safely. If your piece arrives damaged, please contact us immediately to go over options.
If at all possible, we encourage dropping off your flowers, but we also welcome anyone out of the area and will offer guidance with shipping!
Proper care helps your preserved flowers remain beautiful for as long as possible.

Although preservation helps extend the beauty of your flowers, no method can prevent all natural aging or guarantee that flowers will remain unchanged forever.
We want you to feel confident and informed when choosing ABC Blooms & Preservation.
If you're unsure which preservation method is best for your flowers, have concerns about a particular flower variety, or would like to discuss a custom design, we're happy to help!
